At The Kouns Family Foundation, we are committed to helping donors make charitable gifts that are thoughtful, effective, and aligned with meaningful causes. By pooling your donation with the Foundation’s giving, we can extend the reach of our grants and make a greater impact together.

All grant proposals are reviewed and approved by our Trustees. Each grant awarded requires the recipient organization to provide success metrics and a final report describing the impact achieved. This helps ensure that giving through the Foundation is both purposeful and accountable.

• Tax-wise giving options. Contributions may be deductible under applicable provisions of the Internal Revenue Code, including gifts, bequests, transfers, and other charitable contributions under Sections 170, 2055, 2106, or 2522. 
• Flexibility in your giving. Your donation can be directed to specific programs, organizations, projects, or added to our general fund, depending on what matters most to you. 
• Local knowledge and trusted grantmaking. Our team understands local nonprofit organizations, community needs, and educational opportunities. We help direct charitable gifts where they can make the greatest impact. 
• Respect for your intentions. When you give through The Kouns Family Foundation, we document your charitable intent through a commitment letter so your gift is used for the purpose you intended. 
• Professional, cost-effective giving. By pooling donations from generous supporters, we can increase the reach of each gift, reduce administrative burden, and maximize the benefit to the organizations we support.
