If GIVING BACK is important to you, the keys to a rewarding giving experience is determining if your values match the recipient’s goals and objectives and then getting an answer to the question, “What was the real impact achieved through my giving?” If this describes you, you will love working with The Kouns Family Foundation because we are responsive, knowledgeable and committed to helping you maximize the positive impact of your charitable gifts. By pooling your donations with our Foundation we can increase the reach of our giving and together make a bigger difference in the causes we support. All grant proposals will be reviewed and approved by our Trustees and each grant awarded will require the grantee to provide success metrics and a final report describing the overall impact achieved. 

 * We offer tax-wise giving options.  You can deduct contributions including bequests, devices, transfers and gifts under Internal Revenue Code Sections 170, 2055, 2106, or 2522.

* We offer flexibility in your giving. Your contributions can be directed to specific programs; organizations; specific projects; or added to the general fund depending on what is most important to you.

* We know local nonprofits and community educational needs.  Our team is familiar with the nonprofit organizations and the educational needs in our community and can best direct grants to make the biggest difference.

* We honor and protect your intentions. Donating to The Kouns Foundation includes commitment letter to make sure that your donation is used for your intended purpose(s). 

* We offer professionalism and cost-effectiveness in giving.  Because we pool the funds from numerous generous donors, your gift is compounded and the benefit to the grantees is maximized.

 * Spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  We work with Christian organizations and charities to plant new churches, open and expand Christian education and to start evangelism and outreach programs.

* Supporting Education and Developing Digital Citizens.  We work with charities to equip students, train teachers, and enable parents to overcome educational challenges and to meet the demands of digital citizenship. 

* Supporting Faith-Based Charities. We work with charities that are providing services to protect the unborn, the wellbeing of veterans, improving children’s health, and promoting girls/women in technology.

* Unrestricted Operating Fund. Used to support the general operation of the Foundation.
