The Kouns Family Foundation is a private foundation recognized as tax-exempt under Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3).
We make grants to support organizations and programs that reflect our core charitable priorities, including:
Gospel & Church Planting Grant Focus
The Kouns Family Foundation supports Gospel-centered churches and church planting efforts that proclaim Jesus Christ, are rooted in Scripture, demonstrate sound doctrine, and operate under meaningful pastoral, denominational, or sending-church accountability. Priority is given to church plants with a clear evangelism and discipleship strategy, a defined target community, responsible financial planning, and a commitment to reporting measurable ministry outcomes.
Veterans, Military Families & Service-Related Support
The Kouns Family Foundation supports organizations that serve veterans, military families, Gold Star families, and individuals facing service-related challenges. Priority is given to programs that provide practical care, emotional and spiritual support, family assistance, trauma recovery, transition support, community connection, and long-term encouragement for those who have served and sacrificed. Grants are intended to strengthen high-integrity organizations that deliver meaningful, measurable support to military-connected individuals and families.
Life-Affirming Support
The Kouns Family Foundation supports life-affirming organizations that protect the unborn and provide compassionate, practical support to mothers and fathers who choose life. Priority is given to programs that offer pregnancy support, parenting resources, material assistance, counseling, mentoring, adoption support, and other services that help families welcome and care for their children with dignity, hope, and love.
Established in May 2022, The Kouns Family Foundation focuses primarily on program and project grants to local charities, while remaining open to qualified organizations outside our local area.
Nonprofit organizations recognized as charitable organizations under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, as well as certain similar charitable organizations, may be eligible to receive grants from The Kouns Family Foundation.
